Starry Starry Night Necklace

I am so excited.  I finally finished my Starry Starry Night Necklace.  Remember I still had the strap and the fringe to do yet.  Well, I finished those off early this morning.

This is just a picture from my scanner.  I plan to get better pictures to use when I sell my beauty.  Let me introduce the Starry Starry Night Necklace.

I created the pendant from a pattern by Suzanne Wester called Starry Starry Night As by Van Gogh using Delica seed beads from about-beads.  The straps and fringe were created in a single spiral using bugle beads from Fire Mountain Gems and seed beads from my stash.  For the straps, the black seed beads run down the middle of the spiral and the Sapphire Blue bugle beads spiral around.  There are 2 bugle beads in the bottom rows  of the fringe and 1 bugle bead in the other two rows.  I hope I can come up with some wonderful pictures of this necklace.  I want everyone to see the true beauty.

I have done the spiral weave many times in the past.  This is the first time that I have done the spiral with bugle beads though.  I learned a valuable lesson.  When working with bugle beads, you need to put a seed bead on each side of the bugle bead just like you would a Swarovski crystal or it will cut your thread.

I will let you know when and where I put my lovely necklace up for sale in a future post.
