EBW team Art Deco Challenge Entry
Well, everyone, it was beginning to seem like my EBW Art Deco Challenge entry just didn’t want to be created. I had to cut it up about 4 times by the time I got to the end of the 4th row (So much for 3rd time is a charm). I am on try number 5 and so far so good. I have it about 1/4th done. It seems a little stiff to me but never having made a brick stitch cuff before, I don’t know if it is supposed to be like that or not. Angelique, my daughter, created this pattern specifically for this challenge. I think we have another bead designer in the works.I had so many different patterns my daughter and I created using BeadTool3 to choose from that it was hard. I finally narrowed it down to 3 patterns and then finally selected Diamond Triangle Cuff. You will probably find quite a few of mine and my daughter’s interpretations of Art Deco in Grandma Marilyn’s in the near future. LOL Below is a picture of my entry in the works.
A couple of my other projects are in the picture too. I was creating a pair of earrings for an earring swap with a tree frog pattern by Lynn (besessenefrau). Unfortunately, I was using regular 11/0 seed beads and the pattern was set up for Delicas. You guessed it. The little frog came out too large for earrings…..well, in my opinion anyway. So I asked Lynn if I could use it as a pendant for a necklace and sell it on Etsy. She said YES. YEAH!!! So, another beauty for my shop in the near future. The other item is a pair of ladybug earrings. They turned out so cute. Unfortunately since they are for a swap, they won’t show up in my shop. I might make some more in the future.
This bracelet has to be finished and entered by midnight Aug 5th. Voting will begin on Aug 9. Keep an eye on the EBW team Blog for all the entries and the the voting form. I am not asking you to vote for me but to vote for someone. The more votes we get the better.

Marilyn,
I cannot wait to see your challenge entry! It looks beautiful! and frogs are my FAVORITE! I am so excited to see it posted in your shop… i might just have to scoop it up myself! Are you finding beadcreator3 to be easy to use? I am trying to get it set up now… forgot to register it when i downloaded it, so I am waitin for the number now… i should say impatiently waiting… lol. Can’t wait to try it out! Love your new stuff! looks great!
That frog is *so,so,so* cute!!!!!
I can’t wait to see your entry either Marilyn. In my limited experience brick stitch is stiff, but I’m sure it will be beautiful! Some projects just take longer to come together than others!
I can’t wait to see the finished piece! It’s looking great so far!!!
I totally know how it feels to rip something out a million times, but it just makes it that much more fulfilling when it’s done.
Your other pieces are sooooo cute!
your showing looks good.keep up the good work.i could not do what you do.
it looks like it’s coming along nicely!
